| This is the Renegade Speedster 356, a high specification two seater 356 replica built
to give the spirited performance worthy of a thorough bred sport car. The concept for the Renegade speedster is simple, by exensive development over the past two years the chassis, suspension and steering have been developed to give the best handling from a compact and affordable package. The Renegade Speedsters designed chassis uses a VW Beetle Backbone built into a cockpit tub with additional bracing and box sectioning to create a torsionally solid structure. The chassis is further enhanced in terms of strength and safety with the addion of the Renengade Speedsters designed roll cage which also links into the rear suspension. The GRP bodywork is manufactured to a high standard using our own moulds that has been fully revised to offer a superior car in terms of looks, function and longevity. The chassis photographs show a Porsche 911 5-speed gearbox mated to the Beetle rear frame horns. The rear suspension is fitted with an adjustable rear coil over set up and trapeeze bar. The front suspension uses a modified Beetle front beam again with fully adjustable coil overs, and a Renegade Speedsters designed rack and pinion steering setup. Braking is all round Porsche 914 disc brakes converted by Renegade Speedsters. |
