The Avante is a VW based Kit car made to fit
on a Beeele running gear. There were aproximately 100 of the short wheel base made
prior to 1983, when the Mk2 was intorduced as a 2+2 with longer body and small rear quarter windows behind the doors.
This Avante came to Renegade from a customer for renovation and was typical of an 80's built grp bodied car having seen mixed fortunes over the years, after countless hours of body repair the Gulf blue and Continental orange Gulf Racing Paint livery was added. To enhance the Porsche feel of the car the Wheels have been changed to Porsche boxter alloys. The engine has been replaced with a 2.0 ltr type 4 unit with a Renegade Speedsters fabricated reversed twin exhaust system which exits just in
front of the rear wheels.
